19th International Film Forum
Arsenals will be held from 12th to 21st September, 2008.
Riga International Film festival Arsenals is being organized biennially in September. During 12th to 21st of September it will celebrate its 19th edition.
It will offer different sections: International Film Competition, Baltic Film Competition, World Panorama and special thematic programmes and retrospectives.The main prize of Arsenal’s International Film Competition is 20 000 USD and the winner will be decided by a lottery, each of participating film directors will receive a special prize – The Magical Crystal.The Baltic Film
Competition will be evaluated by an international jury of cinema professionals choosing winners for following categories: the Best Feature Film, the Best Documentary Film, the Best Animated Film, and the Best Baltic Film.Both Competitions will be evaluated by FIPRESCI jury. Different activities and exhibitions in the festival’s club and in different places of the city and in Keipene will enrich the festival’s programme.
Arsenals is being organized by International Centre of Cinema in collaboration with Riga City Council, Ministry of Culture of Latvian Republic and National Centre of Cinematography of Latvia.
