The mobile media project "GoMap Riga", created by Latvian businessmen, is to receive USD 250,000 (LVL 142,000) in funding from the University of Texas' Knight Center for Journalism, according to an announcement by the center. Source: The Baltic Course
According to The Baltic Course, the project "GoMap Riga" involves creating an Internet site with a live, interactive map of Riga, where users can add information on events and activities. The project will involve the development of new mobile technology, as well as being integrated with the major existing social networks, such as "twitter", "gmail.com", and "draugiem.lv".
We at Patricia Tourist Office believe that this is an exciting project and we look forward to active cooperation with the developers of this project.
For many years now, Patricia Tourist Office has been a leader in providing useful map and photographic products for visitors to Riga and Latvia.
We look forward to incorporating the GoMap Riga project into our existing Riga Maps internet offering.
