“Riga Story” tells the 810-year history of Latvian capital

Eight centuries in 30 minutes – the short yet memorable documentary film "Riga Story", screened at cinema "Splendid Palace" every day, offers guests of the city an excellent opportunity to learn more about the 810-year history of Riga, informs liveriga.com.

Documentary "Riga Story" (Rīgas stāsts) offers a fascinating insight into the 800-year history Riga and is a stimulus for further exploration of the city and its cultural and historic monuments.

The 30-minute-long documentary was shot by the acclaimed Vides filmu studija in cooperation with SIA Rīgas nami.

The creators of the film: screenwriter Pēteris Krilovs, director Dainis Kļava, camera operator Valdis Celmiņš, designerEdmunds Jansons, composer Kārlis Auzāns, history consultant Valdis Klišāns, translators Dzintra Džonsa and Kārlis Streips (English version), Darja Kulagina (Russian version), dialogue by Marats Samauskis, voiceover by Graham Jones (English version), Anatolijs Fetčins (Russian version), film crew – Arvīds CelmalisErnests Kļaviņš, colour correction by Uģis Olte, HD post production – Krišs Rozins.

The film is screened at the "Splendid Palace" cinema's New Hall (lower ground floor) at Elizabetes iela 61. One ticket costs LVL 5. The tickets can also be bought at Riga Tourism Information Centre at 6 Rātslaukums Square.
