SUMMER JAZZ – Inga Bērziņa and „Riga Groove Acoustic”

On Friday, June 13 a concert of renowned jazz singer Inga Bērziņa will take place. Owner of a matted, dark shaded and brilliantly improvising voice will share the stage with her usual partners – saxophonist and flautist Deniss Paškevičs, pianist Madars Kalniņš, bass player Andris Grunte and percussionist Kaspars Grigalis.
Compositions of Inga and jazz standard arrangements by Madars Kalniņš will be performed in the concert. Their music will cover wide spectrum of moods – from ballad style contemplations to melodies of John Lennon, Jerome Kern, Kurt Weill and other masters of 20th century non-academic music.
Inga Bērziņa studied jazz singing in Moscow and has performed in various jazz and popular music ensembles. Lately she enjoys working with instrumental units that exist under Deniss Paškevičs sound studio cover.
Record company “ZE PIRATS” promised, that the long awaited solo album “Ballads” of Inga Bērziņa will be available in this concert. CD contains music by Henry Mancini, Richard Rogers, Tom Jones, Madars Kalniņš and others.
